SP Broly: Cheelai BLU also has a lot of appeal as the primary blue on the team over him, seeing as they actually buff the Tag.
They are very susceptible to buff wiping abilities however, so maybe SP Vegeta BLU could be preferable. He's good, but nothing to write home about.
Being the primary red for Saiyan -- which is picking up a lot of steam lately -- will put him in Tier 1, but he likely won't stay here too drastically long.
Lineage of Evil would obviously prefer SP FF Cooler BLU at Z7, and Powerful Opponent is a seemingly never-ending work in progress. SP FPSSJ Broly BLU kicks him off the core of Sagas, and he has way too much competition on Frieza Force as well.
SP SSJ Gotenks RED has amazing well rounded Damage potential, Combo potential, and a means to defend himself via his Cover and Ki Reduction.
Outside of his timed Transformation, he does well in most aspects. However, the best theoretical Team is always taken into account for the Tier List, and while he might be hard to get, EX Gogeta RED is superior to him on the core as well as SP Super Gogeta RED.
His good stats are not enough to make him even a decent Fighter in early-mid Game. Even at Zenkai 7, he's hard to justify over many other units.
He's clearly the worst Zenkai stand-alone wise, and arguably worse than some of the EX units that were given Zenkai 7 boosts. Bardock having to wait for his Transformation is a bit of a detriment.
He has quite a few difficult matchups in the Meta, and his Team sometimes cannot afford to wait too long for his Transformation.
SP SSGSS Vegito BLU poses a massive problem to his slower, attrition based playstyle, as do many other Zenkai Blue units in the meta.
He absolutely annihilates Goku variants, and enables his Teammates to destroy Saiyans with a nice switch-out Damage buff against Saiyans for them.
His Transformation does come with a timer, but 45 timer counts is decently long. He has some especially good appeal with SP Youth Goku YEL running around at Zenkai 7.
SP FF Cooler BLU at Zenkai 1 accentuates his Damage potential that much more. That being said, even though he's the primary Red for Lineage of Evil, he's still not advisable to bring along too often due to how the Meta does a disservice to him.
He'll fall to Tier 2 for now, but maybe only temporarily. He has excellent Blast Attack, Crisis -esque Abilities even after only one Teammate has been killed, and controls the Combat Loop effectively with his Extra Move.
It's quite difficult to activate his "Eradicate Evil" stay-in Buffs in a Meta where so many units are susceptible to being killed in one or two Combos, but he still has many other ways of amounting very high Strike Damage.
His problem is he's simply been replaced multiple times. SP Perfect Cell YEL has lasted for what has seemed like forever.
He was also consistently threatened for the main Yellow core spot by SP Piccolo YEL , which hurts his placement even more. They've not had many new releases, and are simply not as effective as other Teams like Future, God Ki, or even Saiyans and GT.
He still works in Hybrid Saiyans, but they have better options in the yellow slot in SP Goten YEL now. He works well with SP SSJ Bardock BLU.
EX SSJ Broly YEL is a destructive anti-Saiyan , anti-Hybrid , anti-Goku Fighter with some Support qualities thrown in for good measure.
His Z-Ability is a bit awkward outside of a Yellow Color Counter Team, but he does synergize with SP SSJ Bardock BLU after his Zenkai boost. SP Gogeta BLU still has some of the best stats in the game after Transforming into a Super Saiyan , which kept him viable despite his age.
F2P Fighters are no longer throwaway gimmick units, SP Kakarot Goku RED has some serious Damage potential and some annoying, game changing components in his toolkit.
High Damage, disrupting Abilities and an Ultimate Move makes him a decent all-around Fighter. His Health stat is excessively low, and his Damage is surprisingly ineffective.
SP SSJ3 Goku GRN is not what some people were expecting, and his situation continues to worsen. SP SSJ4 Goku GRN officially kicked him off the Saiyan core, but now even SP Super Kaioken Goku GRN is also superior on the core.
I'm a Dragon Ball Legends' writer who also consistently ranks in top in the game's PVP. I'm not part of the Kefla bandwagon.
Dragon Ball Legends Writer. Son Family and Lineage of Evil addict. Consistent top since the game's inception: highest rank in a season was 7th.

Table of Contents. Sparking Tier List Change Log. Tier Lists Top Fighter Tier List. Team Tier List. Filter Element. SP Super Saiyan 2 Youth Gohan Red.
Stats HP Strike ATK Blast ATK Strike DEF Blast DEF Why this Tier? He's the second LF unit to get a Zenkai boost, and it's made him the best all-around unit in the game.
He brings damage, support, defense, and more or less completely invalidates Regeneration when matched up against them. His Zenkai alone has completely revamped the tier list, and shifted the entire meta.
Discussion: Historically, SP SSJ2 Gohan RED took a bit of time or a dead ally to really get going, but with his Zenkai 7 boost, he can take many fighters out even at the very onset of the match.
SP Super Saiyan 3 Goku Purple. His Zenkai 7 boost has made him one of the hardest hitters in the entire game, and fixed his lack of durability.
Son Family and Saiyan are now some of the better teams in the game thanks to him. Discussion: SP SSJ3 Goku PUR was long overdue for a Zenkai boost, and now that it's finally come he's become the diabolical offensive fighter he was in his prime.
SP Android 18 Yellow. Her Zenkai 7 buff has made her oppressive Offensively. Discussion: Her Zenkai 7 update continues the trend of super-charging ancient units with a wide array of Damage buffs.
SP Super Gogeta Red. Discussion: Super Gogeta has almost everything a unit would want Offensively. SP Super Saiyan Bardock Blue. He's still the engine behind devastating Super Saiyan based teams.
Discussion: He was pretty significantly held back by his team when his Zenkai first dropped, but now he and SP Super Gogeta RED are back together, and able to rip through most units in the game.
What makes a Fighter 'S Tier'? SP Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku Blue. His Zenkai Boost has made him similar to his prime -- durable to start the match and devastating to end the match.
He makes a legitimate case for God Ki over SP SSB Vegito BLU. Discussion: He operates pretty similar to his release. SP Angry Goku Blue. He Buffs the Super Saiyan Tag at 3 stars, making him extremely powerful on the bench of many Teams on top of his excellent core viability.
Discussion: SP Angry Goku BLU received a Zenkai 7 Boost, and while he's not FSK Gohan levels good, he's still among the best units in the game.
SP Perfect Form Cell Revived Red. Discussion In the average game, Cell might not seem too effective as the average player might not use him optimally, getting him killed way too early.
SP Toppo Blue. He, like SP Jiren GRN , has a few team issues. Discussion Both Rival Universe and especially Pride Troopers have some team issues when it comes to a complete color wheel, but SP Toppo BLU still performs marvelously.
SP Goku Black Green. SP Goku Black GRN can transform into Super Saiyan Rose, amplifying his Damage and bolstering his stats altogether, making him very hard to deal with on both sides of the field.
SP Final Form Frieza: DBS Red. Unexpectedly, his standalone toolkit is arguably the very best of the units released in this update. His Extra Move is ridiculously powerful, as it takes away a Dragon Ball and adds it to his own count, and inflicts Paralysis Discussion Frieza and SP FPSSJ Broly BLU are actually pretty close in terms of effectiveness, and regardless of who you value more, neither answer is incorrect.
SP Super Saiyan Broly: Full Power Blue. SP Majin Buu: Good Green. Discussion His recent Zenkai Awakening makes him as durable as ever, but Regeneration is still at the mercy of SP SSJ3 Goku PUR and SP SSJ2 Gohan RED.
What Makes a Fighter 'Tier 1'? SP Demon King Piccolo Yellow. His Zenkai 7 makes him among the hardest hitters in the entire game. Discussion: He outright replaces SP Piccolo YEL on the Regeneration core.
SP Ultra Instinct -Sign- Goku Purple. Easy to play, but exceptionally hard to master. Discussion He's considered 3 stars for the Tier List.
SP God of Destruction Beerus Green. At Zenkai Level 7, he is now the core Green on God Ki. Discussion Beerus is still a solid God Ki choice who has actually aged very well considering his release was what seems like an eternity ago, but his Damage is starting to fall behind.
SP Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta Future Purple. He has a phenomenal toolkit which synergizes extremely well in this hyper-Offensive Meta. Discussion: SP SSGSS Vegeta Future PUR starts off the game with huge damage potential for the first 50 timer counts, but that meshes together very well with his permanent death Buffs.
SP Android 16 Green. His Zenkai 7 boost turned him into one of the better fighters in the game, Androids got a lot better overall as well, but they still need a Blue and a Purple.
His iconic suicide kills most of the game from Discussion The release of SP Perfect Form Cell Revived RED and Zenkai 7 buff for SP Android 18 YEL gave 16 a lot help Team-wise, but nothing else has really come from him.
SP Goten Kid Yellow. He has a well-rounded toolkit, most importantly he provides support for SP SSJ2 Gohan RED His Transformation only lasts 40 timer counts.
Discussion He and his banner partner SP Trunks Kid GRN have their fair share of flaws, but the star of the show is SP SSJ2 Gohan RED.
SP Vados Green. Her stats are quite low, and her survivability is a massive flaw. Discussion SP Vados GRN has a wealth of team choices at her disposal, even giving some slight incentive to Green Color Counter teams due to a lot of units who share these colors having a lot of synergy with her.
SP Jiren Green. He has mind-boggling damage potential, and Blast Armor on basically everything. He has some slight team issues.
SP God of Destruction Champa Yellow. SP Super Saiyan God SS Gogeta Yellow. SP Super Saiyan God SS Vegito Blue.
The recent battle changes have hurt him in a multitude of ways. Truth be told, he's starting to fall off as well. Discussion: He's considered 3 stars for the Tier List.
SP Super Saiyan 2 Kefla Green. She has some of the best Damage and longest, most effective Combo potential in the game. Discussion SP SSJ2 Kefla GRN 's wealth of Tags gave her a lot of team options, but these teams are quietly starting to fall off.
SP Super Saiyan 2 Youth Gohan Purple. He slots into a good team in Hybrid Saiyans He did receive a Zenaki Awakening, which makes him great if limit broken enough.
Discussion: He pairs nicely with SP SSJ2 Gohan RED. SP Trunks Kid Green. He can output significant amounts of Damage, and he locks the enemy in for 2 timer counts every single time he pops onto the battlefield.
Discussion His card draw speed increase for 5 timer counts with every Strike Arts used can string together long combos and help him control the combat loop effectively.
SP Final Form Cooler Blue. Discussion: SP Metal Cooler GRN and especially SP FF Frieza: DBS RED have been great additions to the team, but they still need just a little bit more.
SP LL Vegeta Majin BLU. After Transforming, his main ability thereafter is able to kill many fighters in one shot.
His Extra Move is also arguably the best in the game. Discussion He's considered 3 stars on the Tier List. SP Bergamo Red.
Why this Tier He kind of operates similar to SP SSJ Rage Trunks YEL. While Trunks has the superior team, Bergamo is the better individual unit by a noticeable margin.
He has some team and matchup problems. Discussion SP Bergamo RED toolkit wise seemed like the best of the Trio de Dangers to most, but due to his color and how his toolkit functions, he has some matchup issues.
SP Legendary Super Saiyan Broly Green. Why this tier? Discussion: He's good, but not great. SP Metal Cooler Green.
His Main Ability into Ultimate Move can be devastating. Discussion Sagas has gotten a ton of help recently which is beneficial for Metal Cooler, but Lineage of Evil still has a little bit of a ways to go.
SP Dyspo Red. He has some of the longest Combo potential in the game, and packs a surprising punch.
He has some team issues, and his base stats are actually a bit low, requiring him to be limit broken a significant amount.
SP Super Saiyan Teen Trunks Red. He has some trouble slotting into some teams. SP Vegeta Red. SP Gohan Adult Blue.
SP Gotenks Green. He received a Zenkai boost. Discussion: Fusion Warriors really need the defensive pivot, but at the same time Gotenks is ultimately not very impressive.
SP Youth Goku Yellow. He's starting to fall off a bit, and Son Family doesn't necessarily need him. He's still very annoying to play against due to his Endurance and his Ki Battery.
Discussion SP Youth Goku YEL is starting to fall a bit behind in the sense that his primary teams are being overshadowed.
What makes a Fighter 'Tier 2'? SP Broly: Fury Red. His Zenkai boost is a huge boon for him, but he's still not the best Sagas red.
SP Youth Trunks Blue. He has good synergy with multiple top tier Teams. Discussion: SP Teen Trunks BLU is very well rounded.
SP Super Saiyan Trunks Adult Rage Yellow. Discussion Luckily for him, despite what Damage problems he might run into, he still draws an Ultimate Move that does a ton of Damage.
EX 1st Form Frieza Blue. He has a ton of Blast Attack potential. He's not necessary in Lineage of Evil Discussion: EX 1F Frieza BLU can output a significant amount of Blast Damage, but his Tags already have so many powerful Blue Fighters that he has trouble finding his way onto the core.
SP Super Kaioken Goku Green. There's no real reason to use him on Son Family. Discussion He's still technically the best Son Family Green, but there's absolutely no incentive to use him even if the color would be beneficial.
SP Legendary Super Saiyan Broly Blue. Discussion: Z7 Broly was a good addition to Sagas, but ultimately was replaced quickly by a much angrier variation of himself.
HE Shallot Light. He might have a hard time finding his way into the core in some of the more premier matches, as the God Ki core was already sensational.
Discussion Shallot's Light type can be both a blessing and a curse. SP Vegito Yellow. He has excellent base stats after Transforming, and is well-rounded Offensively His Main Ability after Transforming is absolutely devastating to any non-Red Fighter.
SP Fusion Zamasu Purple. EX Gogeta Red. He has excellent Support, Defensive, and Offensive capabilities. SP Android Evil Purple.
SP 1st Form Frieza Purple. He's aging, slowly but surely. Discussion: He's considered at 3 stars on the Tier List. SP Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta Green.
He shines Offensively with ferocious Combo potential and can defend himself as well. His Main Ability is a borderline guaranteed kill at times, or at the very least keeps momentum going for his Team.
He also reduces his card costs with every Strike or Blast Arts used. Discussion: He's considered 3 stars on the Tier List.
SP Lavender Purple. They have some team problems currently. Discussion SP Lavender PUR is not the most appealing unit, but he does a serviceable job.
SP Perfect Form Cell Red. His Zenkai 7 boost has made him relevant again, but really wasn't needed. SP Basil Blue.
Why this Tier He has an incredible Offensive toolkit. He does big damage, is hard to catch, and has a sensational Extra Move that keeps his Combos going.
He has some team problems. Discussion Like the rest of the Trio de Dangers, these 3 all need each other to function properly. SP Hit Yellow.
He's a nice secondary choice on Rival Universe. EX Whis Red. His stats and toolkit are still serviceable.
Discussion: EX Whis RED actually had one of the longest runs in Z-Tier for any Fighter , it was just on the EX Tier List.
SP Super Saiyan Goku RoC Green. SP Super Saiyan Vegeta Purple. His base stats are very low, and his toolkit is umpressive. He has a bit of appeal as some form of defensive pivot on a SP SSJ Bardock BLU led team.
SP Teen Trunks Purple. SP Turles Yellow. His toolkit revolves around his Ultimate Move activation, which gives him massive, permanent Buffs.
He has problems with his team. SP Super Vegito Purple. SP Super Saiyan God SS Goku Red. Discussion He does a great job replicating Goku from the anime after the revelations he received from Zamasu.
SP Super Saiyan 4 Goku Purple. He has monstrous Damage, Combo, and Defensive potential. Discussion: SP SSJ4 Goku PUR popping onto the battlefield means trouble for anyone who stands in his way.
SP Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Goku Green. SP Vegeta Purple. Discussion SP Vegeta PUR is as one dimensional as it gets, specializing in Blast Attack.
SP Omega Shenron Red. Discussion: SP Omega Shenron RED is definitely someone that has to be played around and has some serious game-changing potential.
HE World Champion Hercule Blue. This is not a joke by any means, HE World Champion Hercule BLU is intolerable to play against.
Of course he's excessively fragile and doesn't do damage, but his paralysis and lock-in via Main Ability make him viable.
Discussion In a meta full of units that can kill most in one or two combos, Hercule's automatic paralysis inflicted on all enemies when he enters the battlefield activates twice can make all the difference.
SP Android 21 Blue. SP Super Saiyan Vegeta Blue. Discussion SP SSJ Vegeta BLU has a good toolkit, and got some added incentive with the new SP Vegeta RED.
EX Raditz Blue. He's still not the first choice on any of his teams. EX Vegeta Yellow. His toolkit is still lackluster and he remains very one dimensional Discussion: EX Vegeta YEL has some inconsistent Damage output, but he does have some appeal on a Frieza Force team.
SP Golden Frieza Green. Discussion: SP Golden Frieza GRN is a downright terrifying Offensive Fighter. SP Cooler Purple. A Purple that is exceptional late-game will keep them relevant for quite a while.
SP Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta Red. His Blast Attack Buffs are outstanding and he comes with an innate increased Card Draw speed that cannot be canceled.
Discussion: Zenkai 7 SP SSJ Trunks RED kicks him out of Vegeta Family, and SP Omega Shenron RED kicks him out of the GT core.
SP Super Baby 2 Blue. Regen is starting to fall a bit behind. Discussion: He's still currently a starting core unit on Regeneration, but it's rarely if ever a good idea to even bring him along.
His Debuff to the entire Enemy Team makes it extremely hard to deal with him and his Teammates. His Main Ability nullifies color disadvantage against Blues for 30 timer counts.
Discussion Tier 1 is no longer a participation medal for being part of a good team. SP Full Power Boujack Purple. What makes a Fighter 'Tier 3'?
Why This Tier? They provide good support and are underrated in terms of damage relative to other support units.
They have pretty significant team issues. SP Final Form Frieza: Full Power Yellow. Discussion: He's barely hanging on. SP Saiyan Saga Goku Blue. SP Super Gogeta Green.
His stats are actually a bit low for a newer Fighter. In addition, Agent video guides will teach you great tips, tricks and playstyles.
